The best deal in town is Tapestry for wine by the bottle. No corkeage and wine prices are better than The Wine Company. The ambience is such you may want to bring another couple or two.

The Pioneer Saloon here in Ketchum still boasts fair wine prices for their premium wine. Ted and I like to split a Pio burger and a bottle of Silver Oak cabernet....still a reasonably priced meal.

At Baci start with the Ferrari Brut, Italian sparkling wine, $40, yummy. OR have a peach bilini, peach syrup mixed with prosecco, very refreshing. At dinner the Luna sangiovese, $36, or Luna pinot grigio $27, both very good.

Bistro 44 has a delicious 2000 Pine Ridge cabernet priced at $50. The St Emiliion at $37 is a good value and goes well with his bistro fare.

Sushi on Second sells Pine Ridge merlot at $36: a great value.

Woodford Reserve is a fine Louisville sipping whisky. I had my first sip in the second floor ante-room bar (a four stool affair) of the Oakroom in the Seelbach Hotel. Said sip came at the suggestion of the old retainer bartender who, though missing a few front teeth, was most knowledgeable about Kentucky bourbon, "They don't call Louisville the 'Bible Belt' they call it the 'Bourbon Belt.'"
